The payment by a purchaser for use of a tablet space must be made without any reservations, restrictions or conditions and the funds paid may be used by True Buddha Shi Cheng Temple for any lawful purpose.

Although it is the intent of True Buddha Shi Cheng Temple to exercise reasonable care in the maintenance of the Ancestral Hall, neither True Buddha Shi Cheng Temple nor any person acting for True Buddha Shi Cheng Temple assumes any responsibility for or shall have any legal liability for the preservation, loss of or damage to the tablet space from Acts of God, vandalism, theft or any other casualty or event.

Any modification, amendment or changes in these rules and regulations as hereinafter provided shall be binding on the purchaser, and any successor to the interest of a purchaser as of the date of such modification, amendment or change.

Any request relating to the tablet space shall be made in writing to True Buddha Shi Cheng Temple.

Any individual chanting or religious procession within the temple premise without the prior consent of the Management Committee is strictly prohibited.

By putting up the application, the purchaser agrees to the use of space in the Ancestral Hall for the single purpose to display a tablet.

No object of any kind shall be placed in the tablet space other than the tablet and accompanying ornaments (if any) as deem fit by True Buddha Shi Cheng Temple.

The material, design, construction, type, size, shape and letterings of the tablet and tablet space are subject to the control of True Buddha Shi Cheng Temple. Inscriptions or letterings on the tablet will be limited to the name(s) of the deceased or name of the living. Name(s) to be inscribed on the tablet cannot be changed once the application is submitted to the temple. Special requests for the use of any seals, professional designations or inscriptions are also not accepted.

If, in the judgment of True Buddha Shi Cheng Temple, it shall be deemed necessary at any time to change the location of the temple and ancestral hall, the temple will remove or change the tablets and placed them in another suitable location as the temple deem fit. In the event if the use of the tablet space is to be discontinued for any reasons, True Buddha Shi Cheng Temple reserves the right to remove the tablets from the Ancestral Hall without making any replacement for the discontinued tablet space. In both circumstances, a reasonable attempt will be made to communicate to the purchaser and any successor to the interest of a purchaser of any relocation or discontinued use.

In the event if the purchaser and any successor to the interest of a purchaser decide to end the use of the tablet space, he or she shall be responsible to inform True Buddha Shi Cheng Temple on the termination of use. Upon the confirmation to end the use of tablet space, all rights to the tablet space purchased shall be forfeited, terminated and the space shall revert to True Buddha Shi Cheng Temple.

Upon the death of the person whose name is inscribed on the tablet for the “living” referred to as the “designee”, the purchaser and/or the designee’s next-of-kin shall be liable to inform True Buddha Shi Cheng Temple within 3 months after the death of the designee to remove the designee’s name from the tablet. The rights to the use of tablet space within the Ancestral Hall (for the living) will be terminated 3 months after the death of the “designee” and the space shall revert to True Buddha Shi Cheng Temple.
